Here's How it Works...
The
Referral Rewards Program was designed to utilize the word-of-mouth
capabilities of your customers while at the same time rewarding
those customers who are able to bring new customers to your
business.
The
system relies on a hierarchy of parent and daughter records
that work for and with one another. There is no sale without
a Customer, there is no Customer without a Referrer, there
is no Referrer without a Salesperson, and there is no Salesperson
without an Administrator.
The
diagram below graphically charts the chain of command essential
to the Referral Rewards Program design.

In
this scenario, an Dealership Administrator designates two
salespeople to begin bringing in customers. These sales people
each bring in two new customers and, after they have purchased
their vehicles, show them the "Referral Rewards Program".
Three
of the four new customers accept the opportunity to make some
extra cash, while the fourth does not.
These three customers now become Referrers. After each Referrer
tells his or her friends and family about how their respective
Salesperson took care of them, all are successful in contacting
a potential customer, however only the New Customers found
by Referrers 1 and 3 bought a vehicle.
